About Corvo Chess
Corvo Chess is a passionate, friendly hobby chess team. Our name comes from the Latin and Portuguese word "corvus/corvo", meaning raven — on the chessboard too, we strive to be strategic and clever players.
Our team was founded in 2023 from a small group of friends united by a shared passion for chess. Today we have grown into an active community of regular online and offline members.
Our members are players of all levels — from beginners to advanced. What matters most is not the rating, but improvement and good vibes.
We regularly participate in team tournaments on Chess.com and Lichess.org, and organise offline meetups each year.
